Product Manager - Rx Division
Duties and Responsibilities: Product Manager will lead the development and execution of both short and long-range business plans for a product used to treat anemia in the oncology community. Responsibilities will include development and implementation of those plans related to branding, thought leader development, advisory activities, prescription professional literature, medical meetings, and commercial input into clinical programs.
Key job responsibilities include:
Develop a comprehensive business plan for the product.
Work with Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Sales to ensure execution of plan.
Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders.
Work with Regulatory Department to ensure promotion meets all FDA Guidelines.
Develop a forum to communicate with specialty sales consultants and garner their feedback on promotional activities and marketing programs.
Develop and manage a budget covering all professional marketing activities.
Effectively prioritize and manage timelines and budgets on all projects.
Work closely with District Manager and Sales Representatives to promote product directly to Oncologists and other specialists.
Education/Experience Requirements:
BS/BA required, RN or Pharm.D. preferred, MBA or related advanced degree a plus.
One to two years Product Manager experience in biotech or pharmaceutical marketing preferred
Experience in anemia/oncology discipline required, Oncology Medical Science Liaison experience preferred.
Min 1 year experience in pharmaceutical sales, training, market research and/or new product planning.
Demonstrated excellence of verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and execution skills is required.
May consider a current or former oncology District Sales Manager from the Pharmaceutical industry where he/she participated in advisory boards, marketing internships, mentor programs, and training seminars or had input (high level) and participation in brand messaging within their district; proven track record increasing prescriptions within their district.
